AMPS Media Release

On August 11th, 2016 at approximately 02:50 AM, the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service observed 2 Asian females walking on Kateri Tekakwitha Street, Kanatakon, Quebec. Investigation revealed that the 2 females had originally been transported to a residence, located in Kanatakon, Quebec.

A Search Warrant was executed at the residence. A 29 year old female was arrested and taken into Police Custody.

The female was charged with Assault (x2) contrary to Section 266 and Theft Under $5000.00 (x2) contrary to Section 344 of the Criminal Code of Canada.

On Friday August 12th, 2016, she was released on a “Promise To Appear”, for Court on September 15th, 2016 in Valleyfield Provincial Court, Valleyfield, Quebec. The female cannot be identified until an Information is laid in Valleyfield Provincial Court.
